I was introduced to yoga in 2009 via DVD’s to help relieve my lower back pain. I went to my first class in 2010, to say I was intimidated was an understatement. Luckily I had a great teacher who was very knowledgeable and welcoming. I started with Ashtanga Yoga which is a style with 88 postures done in the same order every time. So it was experiment every time I got on my mat. The practice was the control and my mind and body were the variables. Since then, I’ve practiced different styles with many different teachers and always brought that sense of curiosity to my practice.

Fast-forward to 2019, when that same curiosity that got me into Ashtanga led me to my first Kundalini yoga class and my life changed. That sounds like hyperbole but its not. It was unlike any style of yoga I had ever practiced. To the point of confusion at parts of the class, because I was doing things I had never done in a class for almost 10 years prior. There was unfamiliar breathing patterns, chanting, dancing, movement of all kinds. But the shifts started happening almost immediately, which is why I stayed, and they kept happening. I got sober in a matter of weeks from alcohol and cannabis. It was a blessing to have clarity like that going into the pandemic. I truly believe it saved my life. That’s why I’m so passionate about sharing the practice with others, because I know the impact it can have. What makes Kundalini different is that it’s an transcendental experience that’s delivered to you from your own body. From inside you, it’s already there. It just needs to be brought to the surface. And that’s what I’m here to help you do. To excavate and remove all the limiting beliefs and unprocessed emotions to get to the jewel that is your authentic Self. The real YOU!
